As an electrician it's really important I can see the detail in my work and glasses and contact lenses were just so inconvenient.
From an early age I've had to wear glasses and when I moved into my 20's progressed onto contact lenses.
With my job, I'm often working in dry and dusty environments and after a few hours I suffered really badly with dry and gritty eyes. Obviously with my line of work, it's really important I can see what I'm doing and had been thinking about laser eye surgery for a while.
I had consultations with a few different providers and chose the one I was treated with because they reassured me so well and I was really impressed with their level of customer care.
The surgeon and opticians all explained the treatment really well and gave me the confidence to take the plunge and be prepared for a life free of contact lenses.
The treatment was over within 15 minutes and soon I was on my way home, waking up the next day with eye sight I could of dreamt of.
All I can say is the decision to have laser eye surgery was the best I've ever made and it's made a huge difference to me and given me so much freedom.
I'd wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone, that's for sure.
